Window Tinting

Window tinting has become a popular choice for many motorists as not only will it enhance the appearance of your vehicle, it is designed to protect you and your car interior from the damaging effects of the sun. Aside from making your vehicle appear ultra sleek and more current it serves a number of other more important factors such as heat reduction, reduced fading of interior, UV protection, reduced glaze and driver fatigue, increased privacy and increased security and safety.

It’s no wonder with so may added benefits why window tinting has increased in popularity, with a number of manufactures now producing new vehicles with window tint as standard from the factory. It’s also no surprise to see why our window tinting services can be seen in demand at various second hand car dealerships across the South-West.

Here at Car-Wizard we use the highest quality films available on the market, that is applied to the inside of the glass. Unlike cheaper films, ours is actually bonded to the glass and is guaranteed against flaking, chipping, fading or delaminating for as long as you keep the vehicle. All work undertaken by our Car-Wizard specialists comes with a life time guarantee.

What do we tint?

Pretty much anything, if it’s glass we can tint it. By law we can not tint the windscreen, and we can not tint anything darker than 70% on the front windows due to regulations.

We also black out a lot of rear windows in vans to prevent praying eyes and added security. This has also become increasingly popular for estate and 4X4 owners making it virtually impossible to see into the rear of the vehicle, protecting families from thieves and harmful UV rays but still maintaining visibility from within the vehicle.

Leased vehicles and company car owners can still have their vehicles tinted because we can safely remove the window film without leaving any residue or trace of tinting before it’s return date.

What are the benefits of window tinting?

Window tinting is considerably small investment for your vehicle, when you consider it not only protects your vehicle from thieves and harmful UV rays, it can dramatically improve the interiors life maintaining your cars resale value. Take a look at the benefits in detail below.

Heat Reduction

Up to a 60% heat reduction can be achieved compared to untreated glass. Window films will help your vehicle cool more rapidly, even after hours in the blazing sun by reflecting the unbearable heat out of your vehicle
.

Reduce Fading

Using our film will block 99% of the sun’s harmful UV rays. This, together with the heat reduction will help reduce the fading of seats and carpets. It prolongs the life of all rubber, wood, vinyl and leather inside your vehicle. It also helps to protect your dashboard, mobile, audio equipment and speakers.

Protection from UV rays

As mentioned above, our films block 99% of the sun’s UV rays. This is the principal cause of skin cancer and premature skin ageing. Applying window tint to your vehicle will protect your children and pets from harmful UV rays whilst keeping them cooler and less agitated. Window tint also offers a considerable more protection than temporary stick on window shields, that not only look unsightly
but don’t prevent all harmful UV rays.

Reduce Glare And Driver Fatigue

The film reduces potentially dangerous glare from the sun, headlights and reflective surfaces. The reduction of this glare can actually make your driving safer. Sun strips on the front windscreen are also useful, especially in the winter to spring months, whilst the sun is low on the horizon.

Increase Safety and Security

Applying window tint to your vehicle not only prevents thieves from looking into the vehicle, but makes the glass smash proof from the exterior acting a deterrent to thieves. Window tint also increases safety in the unfortunate event of a car accident preventing glass from shattering over passengers and
bodies being thrown from the vehicle.
